Glimpses of the Lillington Christmas Tree Festival 2020
December 11th – Help! I am definitely outside my comfort zone.
December 12th – But it’s looking OK now and I must admit, the churchyard is quite amazing. Even the pinnacles of the tower are illuminated thanks to one of the ringers’ efforts. Not as dangerous as it looks, he says.
We have been invited to ring handbells any time during the festival and we do our best when it’s fine. Three new recruits from the Lillington band joined us occasionally and Janice and Ray came over from Coventry – thank you!
It has all been so successful so far this year, with many more people seeing the trees outside the church rather than inside as usual, that I think this might become a regular feature of Christmas at Lillington!
