RULES
1. Name:- | |
The Fund shall be called “The Coventry Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers Bell Repair Fund”, hereafter referred to as “The Fund”. | |
2. Object:- | |
The object of the Fund shall be to provide financial assistance by way of grants to churches in the Diocese of Coventry incurring expenditure on the provision, maintenance or improvement of their bells and bell installations. | |
3. Definition:- | |
References to “The Guild” shall mean the Coventry Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers | |
4. Trustees,Treasurer and Independent Examiner:- | |
The trustees of the Fund, referred to hereafter as “The Trustees”, shall be the trustees for the time being of the Guild. The Treasurer and Independent Examiner of the Fund shall be the Treasurer and Independent Examiner of the Guild. | |
5. Administration:- | |
a) The Fund shall be administered by the Trustees and the General Committee of the Guild. b) All administrative and other expenses incurred by the Fund, other than those incurred in the acquisition and realisation of investments, shall be borne by the Guild. | |
6. Grants:- | |
a) All applications for grants shall be examined by the General Committee, which shall then make a recommendation to the next Guild Meeting. | |
7. Disbursement:- | |
a) Any payment drawn on the Fund may only be made over the signatures of two Trustees. | |
8. Accounts:- | |
a) The Treasurer shall prepare accounts consisting of a Balance Sheet as at December 31st in each year, and an Income and Expenditure account for the year ending on that date. | |
9. Investments:- | |
The Trustees acting together shall have the power to invest or otherwise deal with all the assets of the Fund in such manner as they think fit in the best interest of the Fund. | |
10. Dissolution of the Fund:- | |
a) A decision to dissolve the Fund may only be taken by the Annual General Meeting of the Guild, notice having been given at the previous Half-yearly meeting. i) Any charitable bell restoration funds the Guild may select. c) In the event that the Guild becomes defunct, it shall be allowed for the Patron of the Guild or other principal Guild officer after five years non-working of the Guild to cause the Fund to be dissolved and its assets applied under 10.b) above. | |
11. Provision for Change of Rules:- | |
a) These rules may only be altered by a two thirds majority of members present and voting at the Annual General Meeting of the Guild, notice of the proposed changes having first been given to the General Committee. | |
